The Perfect White Paint and the ideal detail colors to make it pop!

Want to know a little behind the scenes info?

The most common questions that hit my inbox are:

What’s that paint color?

and

Do you paint your trim the same color as your walls??

Today, I’m happy to let the cat out of the bag and share exactly what paint brands, colors and finishes we used in each space of our sixth home. So far, I’ve shared all of our currently painted spaces, but as I share a few other renovated rooms in House #6, I’ll come back to update this post with wallpaper sources.

I also have grand plans to create built in shelves in our playroom and paint them a unique color, so once that process begins, I’ll update this post as well!

We started with the perfect shade of cool white.

We’ve used this exact color in a renovation before, you can spot it house number 4!

All walls, ceiling and trim in the main spaces are Wedding Veil by Benjamin Moore.
For the finish, the trim is painted in a semi-gloss finish. The walls are painted in an eggshell finish.
And then we added in detail colors and patterns that complimented one another.
Our mudroom/laundry room cabinets were a fun way to introduce color.

The cabinetry is factory finished in Rocky Mountain Sky by KraftMaid.
Brittany Blue by Benjamin Moore is a nearly perfect match!

And made sure our exterior played nicely with our interior color scheme as well. We have the previous owners to thank for this gorgeous shade of grey-sih blue, they painted the shutters a similar color!

Our front doors are painted Dark Storm Cloud by Behr.
The door does get direct natural light for a large portion of the day, so when it’s in the light, it takes on a bluer tone. When it’s shaded, the gray tones are more visible.

The wallpaper in our powder bath is truly amazing.
The colors are the perfect neutral shades but bring in a ton of pattern, which is ideal for anyone just venturing into the world of wallpaper.

As if it couldn’t get better, the paper is also textured, which lends an elegant feel to a fun print. Our paper is linked here and is in the Beige shade.

Gray’s room is painted the same Benjamin Moore Wedding Veil with a fun pop of pattern. I love this Swiss Cross wallpaper detail on his bed wall.
The paper looks textured but is flat, making it easier to spot clean and protect.

I think the pattern will grow with him and plays so nicely with many different design styles.

The children’s hall bath is wallpapered in Milton and King’s Star Stripe paper in charcoal. The ceiling and trim are painted Wedding Veil to match the rest of the house. I love the bold look of the stripes and think it’s perfect for a gender neutral space for our young kids.

The dining room is painted in Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal in a flat finish. The walls, ceilings, trim, can light brackets and light switches are all painted Kendall Charcoal in a flat/mate finish.
Our daughter’s room is painted blush pink – a color that I sourced for her nursery and have continued to use because a true blush pink is just to hard to find! You can see it on the ceiling in her nursery in the post below – we’ll photograph her room soon!

As I share more spaces in our home, renovation Before and Afters and design details, I’ll update this post! I’ve loved creating a cohesive vibe even while incorporating wallpaper and pattern with traditional paint scheme.
