Um, please look at my naked Christmas tree base! Last year I waited too long in the season and every single tree collar was sold out. I was so disappointed and swore I wouldn’t let that happen again in 2020.
Once I started shopping, I realized that the tree collar has become quite the commodity and the prices have been marked up to match the demand. I wasn’t planning to break the bank on a collar so I spent a ton of time searching for affordable options.

My personal fave is that white rope woven option – I’ve seen it in person and it’s got a soft texture and a very thick weave. It’s actually really stunning (which is not something I thought I would ever say about a tree collar!). All of our Christmas decor has a more traditional feel, so I love that the white has the feeling of snowy winter but also blends with our modern coastal furniture.
