Mother's Day Gift Guide 2020

Mother's Day this year is going to be one for the books. After weeks and weeks of being under stay at home orders, I would assume most of us Moms would love a little something that can't be bought: school to be back in session!

But in all seriousness, this year we'll mostly need to celebrate the mothers in our life from afar, so finding the perfect gifts online (that will arrive in time!) has been top priority around here.

After tons of research, I think I've found the answer for everyone on your list.

I made sure to include small shops that can deliver on time, large retailers that offer gift wrapping, all price points and gifts for all types of family dynamics.

I wish you all a fabulous Mother's Day!

If you love this gift guide and plan to shop the post, please consider checking out in a web browser and not in an Instagram window or via an app. I do receive a small commission on purchases made via my links and, unfortunately, do not get credit for any sales made in store, in an app or via Instagram browser window. If a link from Olive and Tate is the last link you click before checking out, I will receive credit for your sale. Thank you so much for your continued support!

Because, let's admit it, once the kids move out, the dog moves up the chain! Also great to celebrate the Dog Moms in your life, this leather key chain can be monogrammed and comes in silver!

Perfectly light weight and chic, this is a thoughtful gift to celebrate any mom. I especially love this for a mother-in-law! Bonus that the Nordstrom wrapping is always well done.

This set reminds me of my own mom, who loves the ocean. The Nest Ocean Mist set comes with both a mini candle and reed diffuser and would be so beautiful as shelf filler or on a bedside table.

I wanted to include two different robes in this list to cover all of my bases. Robe #1 is higher on the price point side, comes in navy and white, can be monogrammed and has a gorgeous, "slinky" feel to the material.

I personally love the modern look of the monogram options and the tailored executive fit of this option.

Perfect for the sentimentalists!

This 5 year, line a day journal has a unique view in that it lays out 5 years in a row of a single day. By documenting a single line each day, five years of memories, thoughts and life journeys can be documented. This would be a great way to keep a gratitude journal!

A super luxe gift for the mom who has it all...or for the mom who really deserves a break.

Sleeping on silk prevents wrinkles, diminishes breakouts thanks to holding less bacteria than cotton material and just feels dang classy. I hope someone wraps me up in that neck wrap and leaves me alone or all o Mother's Day. Anyone else??

This glass vase is so clean and sophisticated, I can't think of anyone who wouldn't want to receive it! You can add a single initial or a monogram if you'd like to personalize, but I do love it just how it is.

Bonus: it's under $50 if you skip the monogram!

Ah, the famous Barefoot Dreams!

Here's why I chose this wrap cardigan instead of a blanket: it feels more personal to me than a blanket that can be stolen by anyone on the sofa. Plus, the open wrap style means you don't have to get too specific with sizing.

Each measuring spoon is engraved with a sweet little saying (although you can snag a plain version from the same shop here) and hand cast in the maker's original mold.

Available in rose gold and yellow gold filled or sterling silver, I love the unique shape of this birthstone necklace.

You can do a birthstone for each of the grandkids, a pattern of birthstones for mom or a single birthstone all the way across. It's also available in a two stone and three stone option. Some of the listings offer options or 24k gold and rose gold, so keep an eye out if you're wanting to upgrade or be budget conscious.

I think this necklace is just truly spectacular, I'd love one myself!

Another necklace option, this time incorporating initials. The famous asymmetrical initial necklace is delicate, dainty and so very special.

I think it makes my list every year for Mother's Day because, to me, it's a slam dunk gift. I especially think it's sweet for a new mom on her first Mother's Day.

A gorgeous bowl or styling, display or serving, this blue and white piece reminds me large family dinners. It's hand painted and made from red clay, plus can be sent gift wrapped!

Available in a handful of leather colors and patterns, this personalized key ring is really a sweet gift. Upload a photo to the shop and they'll create the final piece in 1-2 days! Be sure to take a look at the customer review photos to see how great they look when finished.

So, there are two number fourteens on the list so let's start with the engraved wooden spoons.

You can choose to have these wooden spoons engraved with a message option available in the shop (such as "World's Best Grandma") and have the option to change out the grandma name to your own unique one. If you'd like a custom listing, check out all of the options here.

I particularly love that this shop offers the option to git wrap in a tea towel - and their traditional gift wrap is also beautiful. Nothing like attention to detail to make a mom feel special!

And for 14(b), the classic photo calendar.

I truly think every grandmother on Earth loves the quintessential photo calendar busting with cute pics of their grand babies. Bonus points if you sneak in pics they've never seen before.

I chose this option because it can be customized to the max. Add in text on special dates like birthdays and anniversaries, plus the image and color layouts are super flexible. I'd be sure to add lots of weekend visits to Grandma's house post quarantine if I were you!

An aromatherapy mix of vetiver, chamomile and sandalwood that promises to provide deep relaxation, I'd suggest ordering two so Mom can bathe herself in it.

Thin and delicate, this three stone birthstone bracelet is available in sterling silver, rose gold and yellow gold. I love the price point o this option - it's personal and thoughtful while being easy on the budget.

Birdies have a cult following thanks to their "seven layers of cloud" comfort. Boasting support o a sneaker and comfort of a slipper, these babies can go outside or stay in, come in a ton of colors and are perfect or pampering.

Spray in the air, breathe deeply and drift o to deep sleep. What mom doesn't want that?? Paired with the aromatherapy roller ball, you'll be sending the mom in your life into a deep state of restful bliss!

Handcrafted of maple, this pasty board would be so gorgeous displayed on a kitchen counter. Perfect or bakers, chefs or kitchen lovers, the pastry board can be laser engraved with a monogram.

I ordered this set for my own mom (and then myself) and she gave it rave reviews.

The material is soft, the buttons are functioning and the it is comfy. Pear shapes may want to size up for a little more room in the bottoms.

Available in three finishes, this makeup mirror can be tilted, has dimmable lights, is cordless and rechargeable.

Magnification is up to five times without distortion so you can get up close and personal to apply make up, skin care and all things beauty.

or the Mom who is always losing her earbuds/AirPods (so, me.), I love this black faux croc case. The snap close ensures the buds stay in place with the added bonus of keeping them protected rom germs and bacteria.

Described as an animal print, the print of these acrylic wine tumblers reminds me of a classic tortoise shell. Under $50 for a set of 4 glasses, I love this set or any Mom, but especially one who loves entertaining, wine or is the life of the party. Glam them up by adding a gold monogram!

Super soft and indulgent but with solid treads, these are the best of both worlds when it comes to a slipper. Not just house shoes, these could run errands if you needed them to!

A coffee mug that keeps your coffee hot? Trust me, if you have no idea what to get the Mom in your life, this. is. its. We moms very rarely get to enjoy a hot cup of Joe, so the Ember mug with it's smart charging base that can be controlled with your iPhone is a dream come true.

A beautiful addition to a nightstand, this croc embossed charging tray will organize and display your bedside must haves while charing your phone. I love the idea of taking off my rings and placing them in the tray - plus it can be monogrammed.

Not into keeping the phone in the bedroom? How perfect would this be on an entry table?

Engraved with the names of each grandchild and with each of their birthstones, this necklace is the perfect grandmother gift. The circle shape matches any personal style and is a thoughtful of a git as they come!

Maybe the sleekest, fanciest BlueTooth speaker I've ever laid eyes on, this is the speaker or the girl who has it all.

Come to think of it, we own a BlueTooth speaker that I kinda hate looking at - it has treads like a snow boot! Instead of the industrial, rubber style that's widely available, upgrade mom to a prettier version.

29. Robe

The second robe on this round up has a gorgeous waffle print and a shorter hem line. I love the soft shade of pink and the kimono style sleeve.

Super thin and lightweight, these (faux) diamond hoop earrings are a safe bet for the nervous gift givers amongst us (so, husbands).

The hoop size is large enough to be special but thin enough to be light weight and you can choose between yellow, white and rose gold.

Happy Mother's Day!
