As we all know, I am now someone who works out (I’m very impressive and fancy, no?!).

And to be someone who works out, you need to have a closet full of work out clothes. As it turns out, I happen to wear work out clothes – shall we call it Athliesure?! – regularly so my active wardrobe needs to be fully stocked at all times.
I set out to find the best active gear on Amazon and hit the jackpot on jackets, undies, socks and tanks. I’m also including my tried and true, go-to compression leggings and a pair of leggings that feel like butter, baby.

Let’s do this thing!

Thermal “Run” Hoodie:

ok, I love this jacket. I’ve been looking for something fitted/not bulky, light weight and hooded since it’s been raining non-stop here in charlotte. This jacket has a quilted pattern on the chest with long stretchy sleeves.

There is a thumb hole if thats your jam and you can actually unfold the cuffs and pull them over your hands like built in mittens if you’re running in the cold (can’t say I’ve ever used that feature).
Wearing Size: L (12-24) I will say that I think this runs on the small size because of it’s fitted nature. I absolutely need every inch of what the listing describes as a size 12-14/L. The arms are very stretchy, but fitted, almost like a good pair of compression leggings for your bingo wings.
Sleeves are nice and long and you can see the folded cuff/built in mitten feature. The quilting in the chest area is not puffy but still brings warmth.

Tie Front Tank: I ordered this tie front tank in the color Petal but am returning for the black – I can’t lie, my preference for work out gear is black on black, you know, to hide all my secrets.

This little tank is a great work out staple: it’s cotton, full coverage, easy to throw on and run out the door. The knot does require a little attention – if you want to fabric to lay well once it’s tied, you really should ensure the ends aren’t wrinkled. I don’t have that kind of life, so I’ll be rocking the crumply ends.

Full Length Leggings: let’s get to the good stuff! I have owned this particular brand of Amazon leggings for years and have never loved another pair more.

Most importantly, they have a waist band that is meant to be “tummy controlling” and I truly believe that it is. This pair will not budge while working out. They feel like true cotton with a high waist that holds it’s shape and holds you in.
I never have to mess with them when working out. They are thick and won’t show bumps or lumps/your pink polka dot undies. This pair hits the ankle but they are available in tons of colors/lengths. Honest to God, just go ahead and buy the dang two pack.
Wearing Size: L

Black Puffer Jacket: I’ll admit that I wasn’t sure about this jacket from the listing photo but I’m so glad I added it to my cart. I *adore* this puffer –

it’s cropped so while it is full, it doesn’t overwhelm the body. It’s crazy warm and would look cute with “real” clothes, too.
Wearing Size: L

Tie Back Tank: For the record, this tank is $10 and so, so flattering.

It can be worn either tied or untied, depending on how you’re feeling on any given day. It’s truly comfortable and I was surprised how flattering it looked all tied up.
I’m wearing the “light heather grey” color but love both colorways.
Wearing Size: L (available in a huge size range, including plus sizes 1X-3X)

Fleece Cowl Sweatshirt: I actually loved the detail on this fleece lined sweatshirt – the hooded cowl neck has a drawstring that, when pulled tight, gives the neck a gathered shape.

The inside is super warm, it has a fleece lined kangaroo pocket and thumb holes. The back is also longer than the front, which as a tall girl, I truly appreciate. I wasn’t super into the polyester fabric/sheen to the outside but it was much more understated in the black.
Wearing Size: L (also available in an extended size range)

Black Scalloped Detail Tank: I love the subtle scallop detail on the back of this racer back tank – this is another active wardrobe basic for less than $18!

Wearing Size: L

Buttery Soft Yoga Pants: and now meet my second fave pair of Amazon leggings! This pair is not one I love to work out in (I have, they just require tugging to stay up), BUT it is the pair I love to do everything else in.

They are the buttery, silky, not cotton pilly kind of material that feels so cool to the touch. I legit sleep in them. They are high rise, hit above the belly button and are full length. This pair doesn’t have any compression to them so they are a slam dunk in the comfort department.
Wearing Size: L

White Windbreaker: windbreakers are back baby! And before you ask, yes this white windbreaker is 100% machine washable.

Hooded, mesh lined and a curved hem in the back for length, this little jacket can really go anywhere and do anything. If white isn’t your thing, it comes in a handful of colors including a color block look that I love.
Wearing Size: L (Available in an extended size range)

Seamless Undies: anyone else struggle to find underwear that doesn’t show, won’t move around and isn’t just, like, an overall pain?

I really didn’t appreciate this struggle until things like burpees, star jumps, wall climbs and such were apart of my life, but now I get it. I have put this set to the test and I am absolutely going back for the hipster set
They are super soft and lightweight and stay put, thank you very much. P.S. They come in a 3 pack but I was wearing a pair when I took this pic, so sorry ’bout that!
Wearing Size: L (could have done a medium)

No Show Athletic Socks: another bane of my existence is no-show socks. Honest to god, I cannot with no show socks that slip down and get all bunched up. But finally, FINALLY, I have found a pair that stays put!

They are super thin (as you can tell in the pic, you can see my red toenail polish) and have the grippy part on the top of the ankle to keep them in pace. I put them to the test before sharing them and wore them with my APL sneakers for a work out and with my Veja’s. Both were a success. These will forever be my ride or die socks.
Wearing Size: US Women’s Shoe 8-10 (I wear a 9.5 in shoes)
