Well ladies, it’s time! Every year I round up the most flattering, budget friendly, splash pad appropriate bathing suits, slap them on my bod and show ’em to the entire internet.

What can I say, I’m just out here doing the Lord’s work in the name of keeping us all comfy, confident and gorgeous as we chase our kids up and down the dang water slide.

The 2020 Budget Swimwear Round Up includes 6 one piece suits that range in colors, cuts, support and coverage.

The most expensive suit is $32 and the cheapest is just eleven bucks. I’ve documented all of the must-know details here in print and on my Instagram stories in real time video. Just click here and then the Swim 2020 highlight bubble.

My stats:

5’9″ tall
D cup with not much natural lift left (thank you, offspring)
Size Large in tops
Size 29-30 in denim, depending on the rise and cut
Size Large in dresses
Consider myself to be an 8-10 overall
Let’s do it!
Front Crossover Swimsuit:

Insanely flattering, this suit made me feel chic and pulled together.

This one has a bit of a higher cut to the leg than the rest of the round up, but it’s very comfy and in no way scary. I technically sized up in this one – the large is noted as a US size 10-12.

The listing suggests you size up and I consider myself to be a size 8-10, which this brand would consider a medium.

The fit of the large was perfect so I suggest going up in sizing.

Bust: No underwire, soft cups
Rear: full bottom coverage
Shown In: Navy (available in 21 color + print options)
Wearing Size: L 10/12
Plunge Wrap High Waist Swimsuit:

Um, hello. This suit is less than $12.

I can’t recommend this suit enough for my busty partners in crime. The criss cross detail across the front is purely decorative but I do think it adds a nice shape to the suit.

The straps are adjustable, like a bra, which is great to hike up those ladies.

Bust: soft cups, no wire.
Rear: nearly full bottom coverage with just a touch of cheek peeking out – still very covered and appropriate
Shown In: black
Wearing Size: L 12-14
V Neck One Piece Swimsuit:

I loooooove this suit. The deep V is definitely present but it’s a very contained deep V, if that makes sense. The thick straps hold it all up and the midsection is so smoothing and slimming.

If you’re interested in a nearly identical suit but with more cheek and less coverage, try this one! I wore a Large.

Bust: no wire, no cups, only tiny pads to keep your nips in
Rear: slightly cheeky, nothing to send people running but enough to show what you’re working with
Shown In: Army Green (more of a teal)
Wearing Size: Large
Tummy-Hide Underwire One Piece Swimsuit:

This suit feels like a great combo of all of the best parts of every other suit in the round up.

Rouching across the midsection, wide straps to help hold up the chest without painfully digging into your shoulders, a v neck that isn’t too deep but is flattering to the bust, ruffle detail, great leg cut, gorgeous color.

Bust: underwire, thick/soft pad in each cup

Rear: a little cheeky! Nothing scandalous but a little fun back there
Shown In: navy blue (more of a royal blue) available in 7 other colors and prints
Wearing Size: Medium 8-10
High Neck One Piece Swimsuit:

When trying on in video, I described this as a slam dunk! The coverage on the chest is full, lock in place, no boobs a bouncin’ style coverage while being insanely flattering/not purely athletic looking.

The back is also gorgeous – it has a hook at the back of the neck and then an open back with the mesh detail on the sides.

Bust: No wire, soft cups
Rear: full coverage
Shown In: Purple (not purple at all, more of a pinkish raspberry) available in 8 colors
Wearing Size: Medium 8-10
Plunge Mesh Swimsuit:

Perfect rouching on the sides that creates a pulled in waist and flattens the tummy, a halter neck that holds up the boobs and a deep v that is completely covered in mesh for a peekaboo effect makes this suit a strong contender for best of the round up.

The back detail is unique with mesh placed in the perfect spots to contain back rolls, if that’s something you prefer to address. Honestly, nothing is going to come flying out of this suit.

Bust: soft cups, no wires
Rear: full coverage
Shown In: Grey Blue, available in one million colors and patterns
Wearing Size: Large
