True story: I snuck away from our family Thanksgiving (we celebrated on Friday this year) to do a little introverting. While I was holed up in a quiet place, savoring a few minutes of calm, I pulled out my laptop to do a little work and decided I’d rather spend my time doing something a little more fun: putting together my personal holiday wish list.
This year, I thought I’d whip up a list in the style of “Want, Need, Wear, Read” and went to my favorite online dream store, Serena + Lily to make it happen. Want: Beachside Serving Boards
I not only love serving boards for whipping up cheese boards, but I use them to decorate my kitchen. I actually once designed a kitchen renovation with a small wall that was hung top to bottom in bread boards and serving boards but sadly, we scratched the project. To this day I’m still collecting boards, waiting until we have a kitchen that can showcase them in a floor to ceiling display.
Need: La Jolla Baskets
Our closets are set up with shelving that doesn’t allow for a traditional laundry basket to be shoved in – no matter how hard I try. So, our laundry basket lives out in the open in our master bedroom and we could use a basket update for sure. This La Jolla basket would be gorgeous in our bedroom (or any room) and should hold plenty of laundry, because we all know I’m a true laundry slacker.
Wear: Flannel Pajamas
I happen to be a pajama collector and I only go for sets. I truly love wearing matching pajamas and this soft flannel gingham set has my name written all over it.
Ok, so by read I mean look at pretty pictures and that’s just fine by me! For some reason, I never purchase coffee table books even though I love flipping through them when shopping. I would love to start a collection for our entry table (out of baby’s reach) and then make my way to a coffee table round up when the kids are a bit more trust worthy.

The back of the shams are actually a gorgeous oatmeal color with a leather tagged zipper – I happen to love the way the leather zipper looks so I often turn them around and show the back side when the bed is made. Justin also loves that the leather detail makes them a bit more masculine, but truthfully, he’s not the bed maker so he get’s little say!
If you’re hoping to update your master bedroom without making major design changes, consider fresh bedding and shams. Just the touch of new can really make the space feel re-designed, and who doesn’t love fresh bedding? I may just have my eye on this set….
