It’s been years since I hit up a J. Crew Factory (or a regular J. Crew, for that matter). I honestly stopped dropping in because I felt like their pricing had gotten out of my league and their sizing was way off and way on the small side. I happened to run in to the Charlotte J. Crew Mercantile last week because I needed a black tee shirt to replace the one I managed to spill all over on the way to a meeting. I was pleasantly surprised with the prices, sales and the variety that I spotted on my mad dash around the store. I went back today and did a major try on and and can’t wait to show ya’ll!
As a heads up, I do feel the sizing is a tiny bit on the small size, so if in between sizes, busty or if you like a looser leg in shorts, size up.
Currently, the entire online shop is 40% off with an additional 25% off if you use code HOTHOTHOT – that brings the prices down to insane levels, so stock up, friends!
My stats: I’m tall, 5’9″, a medium or a large, depending on the cut, busty at a DDD cup, a 29 in jeans and today I managed to walk in the store wearing a sports bra, so, you know, enjoy that.
I love this top as a dupe for our Madewell fave from last year! The fabric is a bit stiff but I think it will soften in time. I’m in a Large
The shorts are an amazing addition to the Best Denim Shorts of 2019! They are high rise, button front with a longer, wider leg and hem that can be rolled or left raw. I’m in a 30.
This top is adorable and comes in a ton of colors – I thought the bright yellow was fun but am also a fan of the white. I’m in an 8.
These jeans came home with me! They’re the perfect summer jean – super soft, a lighter wash with minimal distressing and a comfy 9″ rise. I’m in a 30.
Let’s talk J. Crew Factory tees – for me, as someone who is busty and tall, the sizing/cut is a bit on the small size. I’m wearing a large and ended up buying an extra large in the black. If you are looking for a fitted tee, then I cannot recommend this one enough. It’s soft, the v neck is not too low and the wash will be great. It actually reminds me of the Madewell tee at a lower price point! In this photo, I’m in a large
The pom pom shorts are a super easy alternative to look put together while being crazy comfy thanks to the elastic waist! I’m in a Medium.
This little scalloped cami actually works for us busty girls because the straps are adjustable! I’m wearing an 8 and wouldn’t be able to get a strapless bra under it – make sure you choose your size to fit your bust!
Another great pair of denim shorts! I’m in a 30 in this pair, I liked the way the leg fit in the 30 better than the 29.
Oh this dress! I love this dress – the wide straps, the flounced hem and the midi length are all just so flattering. I saw a fellow mom trying it on for family photos with plans to put her family in shades of navy and I just know it will be adorable. Another one that you need to fit your bust! I’m in a 10
I did not buy this jumpsuit in store but I am ordering it online for our Alaska trip! I love the fit, the tie at the bust and the adjustable straps – it also comes in a shade of orange that is football ready and stripes! I’m in a 10 – and look how cute it is styled with a denim jacket!

I didn’t love this denim jacket – the fit is very boxy and oversized. I stand by my $18 denim jacket find!
And finally, a must have tee shirt dress. I am drawn to this shade of army green but it comes in a ton of colors. It’s soft, flattering and easy to throw on – you’ll live in it all summer. I’m in a Large.
I actually own the wedges that I’m wearing in most of the outfits – they go with every.thing. They run true to size and you’ll wear them constantly, trust me.
