I literally cannot wait to recap our trip to Napa, Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel but I need to carve out at least an hour or two to go through the 300 plus photos I managed to take in roughly 72 hours! Because I haven’t even managed to unpack, let alone cull the blurry photos from the less blurry ones, I’m going to start by sharing a round up of all of the outfits that hit my Instagram while we were gone. Some of you aren’t in to Like To Know It and I don’t really go into fit and sizing on Instagram so I’m dedicating a post to all of the gear I wore on the left coast.
Travel Day + Napa
Travel Style Must Haves for the Mom Body
We started the day at 4:30 am at a hotel by the airport in Charlotte – by 2pm West Coast time, I was in the Stag’s Leap District of the Napa Valley. Luckily I wore a travel outfit that could get me through!
My super thin blush sweater is old from Old Navy but they have a similar one this season (I’m wearing a Large for length). Jeans are 711 Skinny by Levi’s (I sized up to a 31 because they are very skinny but comfy!) and my tennis shoes are from J. Crew (with the included bright laces swapped for the white ones that are shown in the listing photo).
There were a few questions on my Instagram about the bracelets I always wear and they (plus any gold necklace I wear) are all from Modern Bazaar. I never take them off, two are gold and one is rose gold. I’m most proud of this necklace that I wear constantly because I begged Jenn to make it for me and she was sweet enough to both make it and list it in her shop! My bracelets have important dates, coordinates and initials on them – and a monogram or two.

A surprise trip to Napa deserves rare social media PDA, and my go-to hat, in my humble opinion!
Dinner at Pebble Beach
Travel Style Must Haves for the Mom Body
To be honest, I was insanely over dressed for dinner but I love this dress for travel because it never wrinkles, hides all of my sins and makes me feel really glam. As it turns out, Pebble Beach is way more casual than I could ever have dreamed – even for dinner – but I really didn’t care. This dress deserves to be worn! And the price point is oh so cheap.

Update: it looks like the navy has sold out since yesterday. There are still a few patterns left but the exact color I’m wearing is no longer available.

Dress, from online shop Windsor, (wearing a size L), I think the navy is currently sold out but it comes in tons of colors and prints. I really can’t recommend this dress enough (and it would be bump friendly!).

Walking holes 17 and 18 on Pebble Beach

We
met the guys (after a day by the pool) to watch them finish their round
at Pebble and because we were on the ocean, it was chilly. This pair of
Hudson denim (wearing a size 30) is an investment but I’ve had them for
four or five years and they will always be in style, so the price has
worked out over time. Many of you have asked about the quality of this top
(wearing a L) from online retailer SheInside and I won’t lie, I believe
that you get what you pay for – and this top makes me pretty happy for
$15. I’ve worn and washed it twice and it’s held up (which is one more
wash than I expected it to survive). The back is much longer than the
front with three more tiered layers that come below my butt. I think
it’s super cute and will wear it as long as it lasts.
My sandals are last season but this season’s are cuter. Sunnies are yet another pair of Toms.

Dinner + Exploring Carmel

This Anthro dress is so freaking cute but so freaking short. I sized way up to a 12 so that I could raise my arms above my head without showing the world my parts but thankfully the fit remained relatively the same. The back detail is sweet and I think I’ll rock this all Fall with tights and booties – for Clemson girls, it comes in an orange pattern that would be perfect for a Tailgate.
Also, speaking of booties, I’m wearing my new favorite Target pair in these pics. Target is running a buy one get one 50% off on shoes right now, which would have been handy when I bought the pictured booties and this pair on the same day a few weeks ago (also really loving this pair that is an exact dupe from a Nordstrom pair I own from a few seasons ago). I highly recommend both, especially at this price point.
My beaded clutch is from BurdLife Official and my blush suede jacket is from the Lauren Conrad Collection at Kohl’s from last year (similar clutch and jacket)

A shot of the Bow and Drape/Nordstrom sweatshirt Megan gave me for Gray’s birthday (we don’t gift on our own birthday’s but celebrate each other as we make it gracefully through another year of motherhood) made it on my snap chat and some of you were asking about it so here are the details (I’m wearing a Large and it def runs a bit small so if you want a baggier look, size up). Clearly, Meg got it for me as a joke(ish) and it made me laugh so hard when I opened it. I rocked it on a cold, cloudy morning in Monterey pre-coffee.

The only piece I didn’t snag a pic of (besides my leggings and pajamas) was my pool day Caftan from SheIn, which I really love. The color is bold, the fabric is thin and soft (perfect for a hot pool day) and it doesn’t wrinkle when jammed in a suitcase. I highly recommend (and I’m wearing a, wait for it, Large), especially because it’s only $15! As a heads up, the description says this dress is red – I would say it’s definitely orange!
Let me know if you have any questions about fit or sizing, I’m happy to answer honestly.
