Happy Hump Day Ya’ll!
(My Husband loves that freaking camel commercial…..and now it’s all I can think about every.single.wednesday)
I’ve mentioned maybe a million times that I love Fall. I really am looking forward to our first Fall in Maine…and ya’ll, its almost here. Seriously, the high yesterday was 70 with a low of 48. 48?! That’s Winter weather in the Carolinas! So, I’m embracing the Maine seasonal swing and am celebrating it by adding some cool weather essentials to my closet.
(Carolina Girls, I know this is hard for you because you have two more months of Summer, but just go with it.)
You already know that I took advantage of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and snagged a pair of these beauties for a great deal…
Tory Burch Brita Riding Boot
Sadly, the Sale is over, but these would be perfect to add to your Christmas Wish List!
While we were in Atlanta, I scored some major sale swag at the fab C Wonder
(have ya’ll shopped there yet?? If not, you need to! It is amazing in all of it’s preppy cuteness)
….the sale was 50% off the already marked down prices….and if you scurry over to the webby, you might be able to score some of the deals before they’re all snagged!
Behold, my new (Pre) Fall Pieces:
Pop Color Leopard Silk Shirt
(was $128/now $25)
In this photo, the top looks stiff like an oxford, but it’s silk so it’s much softer in real life
Pointed Toe Flat in Red
Similar
It looks like the red is sold out online, but I almost purchased the blue snakeskin linked above…the striped pair is super cute too!
(was $128/ now $21)
And, for the Grand Finale…
I just couldn’t pass up this little gem, even though it wasn’t on sale
Cotton Poplin Safari Jacket
The best part?
The lining of the coat is bright orange with a fun zebra print!
I have already worn the entire ensemble, including the jacket!

On our way to celebrate my birthday Japanese Steak House Style (because I like to be entertained!).
And yes, we did need layering pieces in August…crazy right??
I’m still on the hunt for the perfect bootie/ankle boot…these babies were on my Birthday Wish List, but I’m not ready to commit. I prefer a low heel for potential snow navigation and so I don’t look like a WNBA bench warmer.
Sam Edelman Morillo Booties

I’ve been slow to hop on the Bootie Band Wagon, but I think this year may be the year to ensure that my toes stay toasty and safely encased in (faux) suede!
And, as of yesterday, I’m thinking a cape could really round out my fall outerwear options….I’ll have to keep my eye out for a great sale piece….or convince my fabulous MIL to whip one up for me (big smile and wink)!

This last one is my fave – sleek and simple – perfect for layering
