This may be the last Room Reveal in our Maine House...are ya'll just thrilled to pieces to hear that?!
I know it may sound small, but the changes to our entry way may such a huge difference in the feel of our home. The staircase got a ton of attention from the team of painters and I am really, really pleased with the outcome. Before, the dark wood seemed to be concentrated in the entry way- the staircase, doorway, window trim...it all just closed in on you and made the tall ceilings feel oppressive. We also swapped out a dark, low hanging chandelier for something more delicate and reflective.
I added the mirror layer behind the glass table to add even more light, knowing that winter is always just around the corner.
Yet again, I think the now white trim lets the original details of the house shine - The Deacon's Bench is one of my fave original details to the home.
The wall color is Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue (the same as the den)
Trim color: white
Chandelier: Pottery Barn
Entry Table: Tresses and Glass, Ikea

(per usual, before photos taken during Home Inspection, all items belong to previous owners)
And here she is now:
If this were our Forever House, I'd rip out the stair runner and do something more neutral but oh well!
It may be a small space but it got a ton of love!
Hope ya'll like it!
Love it!! The color combination is so pretty, you guys have done such a great job!
ReplyDeleteI love your entryway! I've never had a "real" entryway before, so I'm kind of obsessed with them :) Your stairway is beautiful and everything looks so much brighter with the white! I do like how you left a little of the dark wood though, it does make a nice accent.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so New England! I love the dark wood!
ReplyDeleteThis is super, super cute!
