Hey Ya'll!
Today is a super fun day because I am guest posting over at Kelsea's Overwhelmed by Grace!
Kelsea was sweet enough to ask me to whip up a little something about Travel and I jumped at the chance to put our recent day trip to Bar Harbor to good use. Head on over to check out our rainy trip and see the pics - it's all very Maine-like!
While you're here, I'd like to share with you an email that I received from Husband as I was traveling to visit him last week

Wanna hear something crazy?
The sun comes up up here at like 4:38AM right now… and it doesn’t go down until 8:22PM.
Its sunny here all day!
In the winter its opposite… the days are super short. Comes up at like 9am, goes down at like 3pm
Its like Alaska!
I think it's traumatizing.
Seeing as we only have a few short months (weeks??) until we are overtaken by complete and total darkness, right.this.minute. seemed like the perfect time to head to Acadia National Park. I have to admit, it's pretty cool that something so gorgeous is just a short drive from our new home.
And, since we're being honest, I also have to admit that there are 3 ways to get to the summit of Cadillac Mountain: Bike, Hike or Drive.
Sorry I'm not sorry.
Thunder Hole
We stopped for lunch at the cutest spot - Jordan Pond House
and the view of Jordan Pond was unreal
(thanks Instagram for the color enhancement!)
Summit of Cadillac Mountain
Gorgeous right?! They weren't kidding when they said that Maine Summers were to die for....I just hope the Maine Winter won't kill us....

You guys are going to become hardy northerners. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat place looks breath taking. I would rather be there today than in rainy Atlanta. I'm so sick of rain. Although it is cool to watch from my new condo. I call it Deborah's Treehouse. Next time you're in ATL come visit.
These photos are gorgeous! So nice that you're getting to experience the summer first :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and adore the blog!!!! :) XXOO

ReplyDeleteI grew up in Maine and now live in SC and your pictures are making me terribly homesick!!! You must visit Schoodic Peninsula sometime! I'm biased, but I think it's the most beautiful part of Acadia. ;) Enjoy the gorgeous summer - it doesn't last long enough!
