The number one requested post for Olive and Tate? Old Navy try ons! No matter what the season, you guys love Old Navy! I’m always happy to head over there and put together looks with you guys in mind, so off I went to see what their Spring line was all about.
I will say that I don’t think this is Old Navy’s strongest set of products – I felt the materials (in tops especially) looked flimsy and not well made so I was very selective when snagging things to try on. Let’s be real, no one wants to be the mom accidentally rocking a see through top at the playground.

I did manage to find some great jeans and I think we made a little magic happen so let’s get to it. P.S. Old Navy has an amazing size range and almost every item is available in a separate plus listing!

Here’s the important info:
I’m 5’9″, size 8, a medium in tops/bottoms and busty
Navy wrap dress, wearing a size Large for room in the bust, see photo below for the size Medium in the bust:
I think this little dress is by the far the most versatile piece I tried on. It’s around forty bucks, has a snap at the cleavage, is a true wrap dress with ties on the inside and at the waist and is a great length. If you aren’t busty, you’ll snag your true size. If you are busty, you’ll most likely want to size up. The medium “fit” but wasn’t comfortable in the bust.
The dress comes in a ton of colors and prints, including this red that has strong Madewell vibes. I styled it up with a white denim jacket and a long necklace and it’s really just adorable.
In other “size up if you’re busty” news, I really thought this little dress was a great throw-on-and-go dress but it is also snug in the bust.
I’m wearing a medium and sadly they didn’t have a large in my store. If you’re busty you’ll want to size up on this for sure.
Ok, let’s talk denim!
I would wear this outfit every single day as we transition into Spring. This pair of white jeans reminds me of a pair currently for sale at Madewell with the button front and raw, split hem. In Old Navy white denim, I always size up. I did try on my true size (an 8 in regular length) a 10 in regular length, and this photo shows the 10 Long. The material of Old Navy white denim tends to pull and show every bump if it’s even the slightest bit snug, so consider going up for a cleaner look. This sweater is a great weight for swinging temps and comes in a handful of colors. I’m in a medium.
I am here for this shade of denim. It’s almost a baby blue and the pockets are supposed to be some sort of magic “hidden” slimming. I’m in my true size, an 8, in this pair.
This easy dress also comes in a short sleeved denim version (not available in my store, but online) and is just the perfect hurry out the door dress. I layered a long cardigan over it for cooler mornings and am wearing a Medium. The sweater also runs true to size, so I’m in a medium in that as well.

The final outfit is how I dress pretty much daily so it’s one of my faves. The jeans are highly distressed and super soft, and the sweatshirt is more on the fitted side so it doesn’t feel sloppy or boxy. The graphic is a tiny bee with the word “kind” next to it – and it also comes other colors/graphics.

I’m in a medium in the sweatshirt and an 8 in the jeans.
