May Life Update

May is going to be a huge month for our family, so I am so glad to turn that calendar page!
This month we'll finish the nursery, complete phase one of our renovation, move into our new house (!!!), celebrate 4 years of marriage and it's the last full month of this pregnancy. So very soon we'll be meeting our sweet baby girl and I cannot wait to finally hold her in my arms.

Our house renovation is actually progressing really well (please don't let that jinx anything) and we have set our move in date. I'm making a huge effort to prioritize my physical activity so that I don't contribute to any pre-term labor shenanigans so I'm getting creative when it comes to unpacking. And, honestly, I'm having to check my "get it all done right away" tendencies and know that some of the house might just stay in boxes until after the baby comes. I'll focus on setting up all of the bedrooms and after that, I'm calling in the big guns for the kitchen - but more on that later.

all white everything for this house!
Paint color on walls, trim, ceiling and fireplace is primer and the first coat of Benjamin Moore Wedding Veil

This week we should see the completion of paint throughout the entire house, tile floors down in the kitchen, granite in the kitchen and potentially back splash in the kitchen. Justin and I are having a day date on Saturday to start/complete baby girl's room so that it's all ready for both the One Room Challenge reveal and any potential early arrival on her part.

Justin was on site to template the counter tops - we went with granite again, and this time it's Shadow Storm. It definitely has more grey in it than our last counter tops but with all white walls and cabinets, we are loving the color pattern.

With our house getting a fresh new look, I'm feeling the need to spice everything else up so the blog got a little makeover as well! The design should look pretty familiar but there are a few new pages to make things easier for ya'll. I am the worst at remembering to link or tag sources on my Instagram so I've added pages to the Shop tab in the navigation menu where you can shop my closet, all of the things I'm loving/buying/using for the babes and the good stuff from our home. I'll do my best to update the home section with all of the new arrivals going in, but please don't hesitate to remind me if I missed something!

Also, I'm Pinning like crazy as we prep for phase two of our renovation - our new master suite! Come follow along to see all of the spaces that are currently inspiring me.
