Guess what?
Today I’m not writing about my baby!
There’s not even a pic of him in the post….can you believe it??
Let’s be real, I am not a product junkie.
I’d rather spend money on wine and fast food than make up.
Sad, but true.
I also tend to be a beauty creature of habit. When I find a product that I like, I commit. Forever.
Recently I decided that I should get out there and give my make up routine a little shake up.
The good news? I can slap this face on in less than 3 minutes if the baby is crying and 5 minutes if he’s napping or we’re headed out on date night.
Foundation | Beauty Blender
I can thank Pinterest for bringing my new fave foundation into my life. The coverage is a solid medium and layers really, really well. The formula is perfect for warmer weather and does a great job of covering blemishes and decent job covering my acne scaring.
For full coverage/winter foundation, I swear by the Kat VonD Tattoo Foundation. It’s amazing.
Conceal | Contour | Highlight
Yet another Pinterest hack!
I saw this graphic that lead me to grab two of the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Sticks – one in a color that is much darker than my natural skin tone (for contouring) and one that is much lighter than my skin tone (for highlighting).
I swear there is nothing easier. I just swipe the foundation sticks in the right spot and voila, I’m all kinds of Giselle faced.
The Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage has been a favorite of mine for years. The two colors allow me to cover my under eye circles year round and lawd knows those bags need some attention these days!
Blush
Ok, I realize this is a rogue photo but I have an excuse:
The Sephora Cream Blush in Fuchsia Flash is the newest addition to my arsenal. It’s so new that I’m currently still rocking the sample I snagged when I wasn’t quite sure that I could commit to the color. Not to worry, I’m headed to Sephora to grab the full sized pallet ASAP. This blush is so pigmented that a little goes such a long way. A cream blush was new to me but I’m fairly certain that the color and creamy finish of this product has converted me for life.
Powder | Setting Spray
This Bobbi Brown powder is light and soft, perfect to absorb the shine and finish off my foundation routine. If I have a long day ahead or a big night planned, I’ll set my foundation with the Urban Decay Setting Spray. I happen to think that this particular product is best purchased from the clear buckets surrounding the check out line at Sephora. It’s pricey and a little goes a long way, so why not buy the smaller size and save a little cash for a latte.

Brush | Shadow | Liner
I love, love, love this Bobbi Brown shadow in Champagne Quartz. It is such a gorgeous color with a soft shimmer. It looks sweet on it’s own or can be layered in a smokey eye. I’m not a big splurger when it comes to make up brushes, but this Mac eyeshadow brush kit is my go to. After I slap on a little liner, I feel like I’ve put in some serious effort and am almost ready for my selfie close up.

Mascara

Um, this Urban Decay Perversion mascara is unreal. The white tube is the primer that comes bundled with the mascara and the two work together to make magic. I’ve never worn a lash primer before but now I’ll never go without it. The mascara easily layers for a more serious lash without clumping and looking spidery. Seriously, go get this mascara. Just do it.

Lips | Lips | Lips
These ladies are always in my purse. Always.
The L’oreal Color Riche Balms are the perfect blend of nourishing chopstick and pigmented lipstick. I rocked the Heavenly Berry all winter long and never once did it make my lips chap or peel.
The Revlon ColorBurst is more like a classic lipstick. The color is an intense pink and is a matte finish. I like to layer the Lollipop over the Heavenly Berry or Plush Plum so they are moisturized and carry the color better.

Swatched left to right:
Heavenly Berry, Lollipop, Plush Plum

So here’s what all of this looks like plastered onto my mug.
I took all photos outdoors, in various lighting, on the same day and none are edited. The top two photos show my lip in Heavenly Berry, the bottom left is Lollipop layered over Heavenly Berry and the bottom right is Plush Plum.

Let me know if you try any of these bad boys and what you think!
